Over 20 Years of Experience in French Language Teaching, Publishing, and Professional PracticeSiamak Behram Mehraban, founder of Académie Française Mehraban (AFM), studied at the Cultural Section of the French Embassy in Iran and has more than 20 years of experience teaching French.His professional journey with the French language has extended far beyond the classroom. He is the author of the first French grammar book with explanations in Persian published in Iran. Alongside his teaching career, he has also worked as a simultaneous interpreter and a French-speaking tour guide, experiences that have allowed him to use French extensively in real-life and professional settings.The combination of academic training, more than two decades of teaching experience, and practical use of French has gradually shaped his approach to language education: effective language learning goes beyond knowing grammar rules and memorizing vocabulary; it requires a genuine understanding of the language, purposeful practice, and the ability to apply what has been learned in the right context.AFM was founded on this philosophy, with the goal of creating a structured, practical, and results-oriented learning path for those who want to build a strong command of French and move closer to their academic, professional, and immigration goals.Today, a major part of AFM’s work is dedicated to specialized preparation for the TCF Canada. The objective is not simply to complete a large number of practice questions or gain a superficial familiarity with the exam. Students need to understand the structure of the test, develop effective answering strategies, identify their areas for improvement, and know what to practise, how to practise, and why they are practising it.More than 20 years of teaching, publishing, and professional experience with the French language have come together at AFM around one clear mission: to help learners learn more effectively, make purposeful progress, and move confidently toward new horizons.
